About Berkeley Heights

Berkeley Heights is surrounded by open space. At the northern edge of the township, only a block from Springfield Avenue, is the Passaic River County Park, part of which is in the Union County parks system. To the south is Watchung Reservation, Union County’s largest park, at 1,945 acres. People go there to hike, fish, canoe, ride horses, and picnic.   



Berkeley Heights is really a small town at heart. It has every amenity as any other place and it is a very friendly town. The best of both worlds.



Another award winning school district which offers 3 elementary schools: William Woodruff, Mountain Park, and Thomas P. Hughes; Columbia Middle School and a high ranking high school, Governor Livingston. Berkeley Heights also has the Mary Kay McMillan, Early Childhood center.



Residents have access to two train stations, one in Berkeley Heights and one in the Murray Hill side of New Providence. Both offer Midtown Direct train service to NY’s Penn Station (Only 2 lines in the early Morning). The rest of the lines have final stops at Newark Broad Street Station and Hoboken.
